This decision was recently announced by the integration representative Claudia Plakolm.
Failure to comply with this rule can be punished with a fine of up to 1000 euros or even two weeks in prison for the parents.
Me, as a woman who has seen and experienced the devastating effects of headscarves in the lives of children and women in Iran and in Islamist countries, and in my role as the head of the ex-Muslim organization in Germany, dealing with the problems of girls, who are being abused by fathers, on a daily basis, Brothers and families forced to wear the headscarf – even if they detest it – declare: We welcome this decision of the Austrian government and see it as an important step towards defending children’s rights in Europe and around the world.
I know that already today the protests of Islamic organizations will begin and will be joined by a large number of multiculturalists and followers of Islamic culture, chauvinism and misogyny – under the guise of respecting minorities’ rights and the ”Muslim woman”. They are going to try to stop this law invoking freedom of religion.
But this time, the Austrian government – as opposed to 2020 – has announced that it is better prepared and has strong arguments: the headscarves for children must be banned.
In fact, the decades-long removal of children’s headscarves in Germany, Austria and Europe is an absolute political disaster. Precisely in countries where children should grow up free and lead happy lives regardless of their parents’ religious, political and ideological bonds, we see how children are already isolated with headscarves in kindergarten. They grow up under threats and pressure and experience an image of womanhood and life that their religious and reactionary parents want to impose on them. On a closer look, it shows that behind all this is a mosque, some mullahs and finally the Islamic governments of Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Islamic terrorist structures.
After decades of influencing Islamic currents in schools and society in Europe – and after the adjustment of governments, such as through the ”Islamic Conference” in Germany – many still do not understand that the trend of headscarves, especially children’s headscarves, is directly linked to the Islamic movement.
The headscarf became a symbol of the attack on women and society in this movement, following the takeover of Khomeinis in Iran, and is a brutal instrument of suppression and push for absolute apartheid.
It is noteworthy that this law comes to mind in Austria on the third anniversary of the Women, Life, Freedom Movement and the anniversary of the death of Mahsa Jina Amini in Iran. I will add: the women’s revolution in Iran, which began with the burning of the headscarf, was a clear response to all defenders of the headscarves and to all who justify this misogyny. She had tremendous impact in breaking the taboo of defending Islamic structures in Europe and worldwide.
Once again I emphasize: We welcome this decision and demand its implementation in Germany and in all countries. France did this and saw the positive results. Children’s headscarves must be banned everywhere – in public as well as in private schools. It’s like pouring water into an ant nest.
Let the organizations, institutions, reactionaries and defenders of the Islamic Movement be back on stage and exposed. Our task in this upcoming fight is to comprehensively defend this decision – everywhere.
