Women, Freedom, and the Struggle Against Religious Domination

No religion, no so-called holy text, and no authority has the right to dictate how women should live, dress, think, or choose.
Atheism, at its core, is a defense of individual freedom and women’s liberation is one of its most vital frontlines.
For centuries, religions have oppressed women:
Imposing veils, restricting education, suppressing sexual freedom, and undermining women’s intellect and autonomy.
We stand against this history.
We affirm that a woman is a full human being not property, not a tool, not a subordinate.

Without the freedom of women, there is no real freedom.
In a world free of gods, holy books, and “sacred” chains, women and men alike are free to write their own destinies.
